Though an interesting concept, I found this game incredibly difficult to play. As I was going along the course, I got very dizzy. Without any outlines or shading, all the curved walls and straightaways began to blend together and I lost a sense of where I was.
The camera was also very...iffy. I was unable to make clean turns mainly because my car would drift to the right of the camera and I was unable to see the road ahead of me.
It was fun for the time that I played it, but I can't say I'll play it again. It makes me too dizzy and disoriented.
I got way too used to this game, so i can´t say that i experienced something like dizziness.
BUT ! I´m sure there are other people, who might experience the same or already experienced the same.
So no excuses here, i didn´t add shading or outlines to the scene because of the filesize (its all vector graphics), but i could have done some outlines and shading for the road and the walls. So i will add this point to the "must do" list for the sequel. Thank you very much for playing and reviewing.
A Great Game?
This is what looks like a great game! The graphics are beautiful and the music is quite gorgeous? The only problem is that I can't get past the menu. So, as noted in the author's comments:
OS: Windows 7
Menu Buttons Work?: Yes
Great! A few glitches, though...
I love the hand-drawn style of this demo. It kinda reminds me of the game "Gretel & Hansel."
I, like many others, though have found a few glitches.
The first play works pretty well, but after replaying, the game acts as though you've already put your toys away, even to the point of leaving the window and chest open if you did so during the first play. I am also able to open the door without knocking off the doorknob. As I open the door, though, the knob seems to just levitate in midair. In other words, I'm able to leave without cleaning my toys or consciously destroying the door.
I hope this goes into consideration as you contintue to work on this amazing game! I hope to see the finished product in the future!
4/5 and 8/10!
Thanks for the comments! I've realized what the problem is for the most part, simply a matter of resetting variables. The full game will undergo much more rigorous testing.
This game is extremely flawed. I would type the words, all the letters in rapid succession, but no words would come. I'm sure it's not my computer, because the framerate is fine. Someties I have to press keys about five times in order to get the letter put in. Also, when I type the random letters as the boss is about to fall off, nothing happens! Please work on this.
You really need to work on YOUR Actionscript before you work on OURS. Really. The buttons in some of the sections don't even work! How am I to get a decent tutorial if it doesn't work?!?!
Crappy fighter, in my opinion. You should really make some animaton frames that actually have the characters move their legs. This looks like a fifth-grader did this. Also, work on when the characters get hit. The "Oh!" and the "!hO" don't cut it. Try getting sound effects of people actually getting hurt. Also, when they attack, there should be a sound effect there, too. Learn.
This one's okay. Good start. Needs more pants options for the pervs, though.
You should really compress this more and optimize some of the images. The jumping Mario sprite is really blurry. Work on it more and I'm sure you'll get a front page.
The server is down!
Good concept, though.
You should really make a full-version walkthrough. The walkthroughs in these comments are not substantial. The best one only goes to level 31.
Good game, nonetheless. A lot of thinking went into this.
